Running in the Rain
Have you ever run in the rain?
Felt the droplets of water play in your hair,
As it freely moves with the added weight,
With every landing?
To feel it drip down your chin,
Only to fall to the ground below?
Have you ever run in the rain?
To feel each droplet hit your naked flesh
To pound alongside that of your moving heart?
Forming tiny streams they glide ever downwards,
Only to be soaked into the damp fabric of your shorts,
Which dance to and fro with every step, every stride.
